Raju, after not hearing from Sachin for days, finds him and his family at a train station, and calls Sachin to return home. Sachin meets Thakur’s mother, who invites him to a wedding with him, but Sachin was unable to bring himself to meet her. Raju then begins to lose all hope, until he receives a disturbing letter from the bank, which states that he had defaulted on his mortgage, and that the bank plans to sell his house and get the money from the proceeds. Sachin finds a job and Sachin continues to support Raju, who slowly begins to improve his condition and resumes his way of life. The two become friends, both are encouraged by Raju to think of their future and work hard. Sachin goes to college, where he is called’shark’, and a classmate, Thakur. Later, Raju runs into construction problems which cause him to lose his job. He is an alcoholic and is known to make expensive purchases for his wife and daughter, but ignores the needs of his son Sachin, whose speech impediment make him barely audible.
